This is a 3-pin cable ideally suited for connecting 3-pin sensors or other 3-pin components to your projects.

One end of the cable has a fixed 3-pin female header, and the other end has 3 individual jumper wire ends.

Whilst you could use female to female to achieve the same result, the fixed 3-pin section makes connecting the sensor end easier, leaving you with the flexible individual ends to plug into the relevant pins on your microcontroller (which aren't always next to each other!)
